AHEFO - Association of Hungarian Exhibition and Fair Organisers

Association of Hungarian Exhibition-and Fair Organisers (AHEFO) is a national organisation to represent and harmonise interests of the exhibition industry. It was established in 1989 by the leading exhibition organisers in Hungary as to develop high quality-exhibition-organising in the fast changing market economy. The association comprises most significant organisers and events of the Hungarian exhibition market. The members staging 70-80 international, national exhibitions and focussed regional fairs a year which means members hold appr.80-85 per cent of the whole exhibition market.

Our member organisers play significant role in business activity of the whole country. Exhibitions and fairs they organise are known and much in demand among domestic and the foreign exhibitors/enterprises alike -promoting business ties, developing economy of the region, upgrading business mind and building business contacts between the companies - from Zalaegerszeg to Nyíregyháza, from Sopron to Szeged, from Debrecen to Gyor.

Objectives

» One of our main goals is to establish an annual exhibition and fair calendar of Hungary which is instrumental to successfully harmonise the dates and thematic of fairs. Visitors and exhibitors need clear feedback on the prospects, need hope of profitability.
» According to the preliminary list of 2004 our members plan to carry out 79 specialised trade fairs and regional general fairs.
» Our goal is supported by our Code of Conduct accepted in 2000 but mainly by our everyday-activity: professional harmonisation and exchange of experience, coordinated proposals towards the partners
